Why are the updates not coming as frequently as yesterday? WE NEED T O KNOW!!
I understand you’re frustration, but we are updating as soon as information is received. Officials have said there has not been much change in the situation and the firebreak lines are reportedly holding. Once information is received, we update immediately.
Hubby has a procedural question: If fire fighters are back burning along a dirt road in order to hold a line, is there a standard for how many feet or yards they back burn? How wide a swatch of area would they be trying to create? Does anyone out there know?
I don’t think there is necessarily a standard size of fire break, it is mostly dependent on the terrain/ available fuels.
Please include the time posted for official postings to the web site. You were doing this yesterday, but the latest postings lack this information.
