The fire is holding within fire lines and remains at 12,140 acres and 30% contained. Crews are working on fuel prep on the SE side of the fire. Increased smoke is due to portions of unburned fuel within fire lines. We remain under pre-evacuation notice at this time. Next update to come in the 8:00 hour tomorrow.
According to the independent if no changes occur with the fire by Monday then the pre-evac orders will be lifted is that true?
We have not heard that. But there will be an official announcement if that is the case.

Wow! This is great news since it seems that the fire has not spread anymore which has not been the case in the last few updates.

Highway 60 is still closed at this time between mileposts 318 and 338.
