6/16/16 9:00 – As of this evening fire crews continue to maintain fire lines 1/4 mile away from the trigger point. Pre-evacuation status remains in place. Crews will continue to work throughout the night on maintaining the lines and making progress on the fire itself. We will not be posting additional information until the briefing from the Incident Management Team in the morning unless we are notified of any major changes during the night.
The trigger point you are referring to….Is that for all of Show Low?
It’s for the Show Low, Pinetop, and Lakeside areas.
Any word when the 60 will be open to globe?
No word as of yet. US 60 is open west of the State Route 73 junction and State Route 73 is still open.
Is US60 open again?
Unfortunately, US 60 is still closed in both directions between mile markers 318 and 336, just east of the State Route 73 junction. It is unknown when that stretch of highway will be re-opened. However, State Route 73 is still completely open.
Thank you.
Be careful.
