Can you specify whether or not Linden is considered to be part of Show Low for the pre-evacuation notice?
Linden is not considered part of Show Low and is not currently included in the pre-evacuation notices.
Thank you.
I have three kids one is 3 weeks old should I be starting to head towards snowflake I don’t want to wake up a 3 week old baby at 2 am if I could already have him on the way there now. Please let me know thank you.
I completely understand not wanting to wake a three week old baby at 2am. If you’re in Show Low, Pinetop, or Lakeside, you are more than welcome to go to the shelter in Snowflake at any time. The shelter is now open and ready.
Ok perfect thank you. We are in showlow will head there now just in case thank you again
Is there a good chance we will be evacuated in the middle of the night?
It does not look that way as of yet, but again, I’d definately prepare for an evacuation in the lieklyhood something changes.
This is the first time I have been anywhere under a pre-evacuation notice. I am getting things ready to leave. How quickly are you expected to leave if this becomes an evacuation notice?
It all depends on your location, but usually ample warning will be given.
We are currently in Tucson, coming back to Pinetop tomorrow morning. What route would you suggest we use to get there? We need to come and be prepared to get items ready (one being my car that is parked in our garage), should we have to evacuate.
As of now, Highway 60 is closed in both directions between mile marker 321 and 337, just east of the Highway 73 junction. Because of this closure, your best bet would be to travel through Safford and Alpine via Highway 191. Keep in mind, if an evacuation notice is issued prior to your arrival, you will most likely not be permitted to access your residence.
How far is the fire away from the trigger point for evacuation in Show Low?
We don’t have that information yet, but it is about 8 miles south of Pinetop.
Is the road open to turn to White River from the 60?
Yes it is as of now.
Is 60 open to Showlow
60 is closed from mp 318-338, you would have to take the 73 highway as an alternate route
IS HWY 73 TO WHITERIVER OPEN AS OF 6 25 0 6 28 2016
At this time there are no plans to shut Hwy 73 down for those dates
