Cedar Creek Call Center update

6/17/16 @ 7:58 am

311info call center operations is run by a group of volunteers. We are not large enough to stay open 24 hours a day.  We shut down in the evening so our volunteers can go home to rest. The call center opens back up at 7am. The call center volunteers appreciate your understanding and patience. We only push out information that we have received from official sources. During the beginning stages of fires, this information is often slow in coming. As soon as we get the information, we always post the information as soon as we get it.

Navajo and Apache County are still in stage 1 fire restrictions in the unincorporated areas.

The press conference scheduled for 10am this morning at Showlow High School, has been CHANGED to 1200.

Quemado Fire in Apache County is still 700, acres, with 80% containment and is in monitor status.

Cedar Creek Fire in Navajo County is currently at 9,200 acres. this includes burnout.  There has been no containment at this time. The Type I Incident Management Team has taken over the fire as of last night. There will be a press conference today at 12:00 at the Whipple Elementary School. All pre-evacuations for Show Low, Pinetop-Lakeside remain in place.

  1. Thank you so much for your volunteer service. This website is extremely helpful. Really the only up to date source of information that we have available since we don’t have a TV. Bless you!

  2. We are visiting Pinetop for our families summer vacation and I cannot express enough my appreciation to the volunteers of this site and the tireless efforts of our public servants to keep up informed and safe.

    • Amen to your statement. We are also visiting Pinetop for our families summer vacation and have relied on this website for information. Thank you so much for your efforts. We look so forward to seeing Pinetop and having quality family time.

    • There is no current fire activity regarding the Quemado Fire, however, it the area is being monitored in case winds pick up and it re-ignites.

    • They really don’t call it out until after a few days. That way if the wind picks back up and it starts all over again It doesn’t cause a huge confusion. It is considered under monitored status.

  3. Thank you to all!!!!!! You are doing an amazing job and we sincerely appreciate the information and updates!!!!!
