8/25/14 – A Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for southern and western Coconino County, far southern Apache and Navajo Couties and all of Yavapai and Gila Counties. This includes the cities of Page, Grand Canyon Village, Flagstaff, Sedona, Prescott, Payson and Show Low.

Numerous rain showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop late tonight through Tuesday. The storms will be capable of producing heavy rainfall and flash flooding. A Flash Flood Watch means that developing conditions may lead to Flash Flooding within the watch area. People especially those located along area creeks, rivers or other Flash Flood prone areas should continue to monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take immediate action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
