If your fire is too hot to touch, it is too hot to leave!

6/18/15 – Northeastern Arizona has enjoyed a particularly cooler spring with above normal precipitation this year. Many times our citizens and visitors might be under the impression that these conditions negate the dangers of wildfires which is simply not true. Everyone that visits the forests this time of year must remain just as vigilant as ever.

Remember:
* Never leave a campfire unattended, even for a few minutes!
* Make sure to extinguish all campfires completely! If it is too hot to touch, it is too hot to leave!!
* If you see smoke, report it!
