Another cold weather disturbance will affect portions of northern and central Arizona today and will move into eastern Arizona this evening.
By early afternoon areas of snow will spread south and east with moderate to locally heavy snow affecting the Mogollon Rim into the early evening. Several inches of new snow will be likely today over higher terrain especially from the Grand Canyon south and east to the Mogollon Rim and the Chuska Mountains. Snow will slowly end from west to east this evening with the White Mountains seeing light snow until after midnight.
Friday through Wednesday…
A strong cold front will bring gusty west winds to the region Saturday with northeast winds and sharply colder temperatures developing late saturday night into sunday. Temperatures on Sunday will be 10 to 20 degrees colder than temperatures on Saturday. In addition to the cold and wind a chance of mainly snow showers will accompany the front Saturday night and Sunday especially northeast of Flagstaff to the Four Corners.
