Arizona DPS HAZMAT declares Navajo County’s Holbrook Complex building threat-free and safe for employees and the public to return tomorrow. Navajo County will be open to conduct business during regular business hours. Navajo County’s Emergency Management Team successfully assessed the risk of today’s mail incident and determined an efficient, effective exit strategy, ensuring employees returned to their homes in safety. With their Emergency Management partners: Navajo County Sheriff, Holbrook Police Department, Holbrook Fire Department, Holbrook Emergency, Arizona Department of Public Safety, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Timber Mesa Fire, Navajo County Public Health, and Snowflake and Heber/Overgaard Community Emergency Response Teams, Navajo County determined threat levels throughout the Holbrook Complex and deployed an appropriate exit strategy. Based on contamination exposure, each employee underwent a decontamination process with an individual medical evaluation/diagnosis. Navajo County’s leadership thanks their community partners in coming together to protect and serve our citizens.
