Smoke impacts from the Tussock Fire, located 7 miles southwest of Crown King are expected to affect our region.

The Tussock Fire started on Saturday, May 8th, and has since grown to 3,500 acres and wind is expected to push smoke toward the east-northeast, and that trend is forecast to continue.

A Red Flag Warning is in effect for Northeastern Arizona today with scattered rain showers predicted for this afternoon and evening, switching over to snow tonight above 6000-6500 feet. The greatest accumulations will occur between 11 pm tonight and 5 am Tuesday mainly along the Mogollon Rim. Rain showers are expected in the lower elevations.
