10/25/2013 – Starting Monday a storm system will move across the western states. Expect windy conditions across northern Arizona on Monday and Tuesday with wind gusts potentially exceeding 40 MPH. In addition, expect a temperature drop of 10 to 20 degrees by wednesday as a cold front sweeps across the area. There will also be a chance of showers but just how much precipitation and potential snow levels are uncertain at this time. Highway 377 has reopened 10/16/2013
UPDATE… Highway 377 in Navajo County is now open.
Highway 377 in Navajo County is closed this morning due to a roll over accident. All traffic is asked to detour via 277 or other routes until the accident is cleared up. We will post any available updates as they are received.
Cold Front Coming to Northern Arizona!
On Wednesday October 9th a potent cold front will bring strong south to southwest winds with gusts from 40 to 55 MPH. The fastest gusts are forecast to be across Navajo and Apache Counties.
Precipitation will spread from the west to east across northern Arizona from Wednesday evening through Thursday afternoon. Snow Showers are possible above 6500 Feet with up to an inch accumulation at 7000 feet in Coconino County and 2-4 inches above 8000 feet on the Kaibab Plateau and San Francisco Peaks. Clearing weather moves in from west to east late Thursday Afternoon.
