The Cameron Fire in Alpine has been lined, and crews are mopping up fire edges this evening. Fire crews will return tomorrow. The real test will be tomorrow if the winds come up.

The fire in Alpine has been named the Cameron Fire. It is estimated to be at 35-40 acres. The Black Mesa Hot Shots have arrived and are working the fire. Fire behavior is starting to moderate with the cloud cover and cooler temperatures, while Dozers make progress around the fire lines. Resources fighting the fire include 3 air tankers and 2 helicopters.

Fire is approximately 15 acres, 3 air tankers enroute, making good progress with dozers on the flank. Apache County Deputies are with residents near the point of origin in case of a directional shift. Incident command is working to get a line around the fire by this evening.
