377 Fire Update

Crews worked throughout the night to create fire lines and protect structures. Chris Johnson’s Type 3 Team took over command at 7 a.m. this morning.

The blaze, made up of many brush fires spreading across SR 377 from mile markers 1-22, is burning primarily pinyon juniper and grass.

HEBER-OVERGAARD FIRE UPDATE for NEC, 6/5/18 8am:
NEC crews continued to work throughout the night repairing infrastructure; they were able to identify nine (9) known structures down; five (5) have been repaired. Crews continue their work today, coordinating with Incident Command. Barring unforeseen circumstances, they hope to re-energize our substation sometime this afternoon.
