Are we still on Pre evacuation? Thank you for all you do and many many thanks to the men and women going toe to toe with this fire,,,they are amazing!!!
We evacuated Thursday to Phoenix. We see in the morning paper Hondah and the Apache reservation have been removed from the pre-evacuation list. We live a couple of blocks from the reservation in the Pinetop CC area. Think we’re safe to come home?
Nope, Hondah and Apache Reservation are still on Pre-evacuation. You are safe to return home, but you will be on pre-evacuation notice, as well as there is a lot of smoke in the area.

We are still under pre-evacuation orders at this time
Yes, you remain on pre-evacuation. Thank you for your kind words of encouragement.
Will route 60 continue to be closed at 73 today and Monday? Need to know for sure if you have that info. Thanks.
60 will remain closed from MP 318-338, however the 73/60 Junction is open
Can we travel from 60 to 73 to Pinetop
Yes you can.

Is the 73 open at the 60
Yes, it is open.
Someone I just ran into said they ran into a hotshot in town who said fire line was broken and they are going to evacuate show low. Is this correct?
First, thank you for checking with us to verify what you heard. To answer your question, Show Low remains under pre-evacuation.
Has the burn-out line been crossed, broken? Sounds like so far this area remains on pre-evac.
We have not been notified of the “line being crossed or broken”. The area does remain on Pre-evacuation.
Are you able to tell us how close it is to the fire line as of today?
We have not been advised of that.
Will the 60 be closed for several days or is there a chance it will reopen before the fire is 100% contained?
That is very difficult to answer. It is closed for now, the fire and smoke will determine the rest.
When will we hear the next official update to confirm that the lines indeed have not been crossed at any point of this fire?
Sometime early afternoon. they update in the morning, afternoon, and in the evening.
I really appreciate the answers to all our questions- a lot of work!! Thank you!
You are most welcome.
