9/22/15 – Expect increasing showers and thunderstorms through the day as an area of low pressure moves northeast across the state. There is a threat for locally heavy rain which could lead to localized flooding. There is also a threat for a few severe storms across eastern Arizona east of a Payson to Tuba City line. Showers and storms will decrease late this evening and come to an end by about midnight.

Heavy Rainfall Possible
9/21/15 – A Flash Flood Watch is in effect from this evening through Tuesday evening for portions of central and northeastern Arizona. Widespread showers and embedded thunderstorms are expected to move north across northern Arizona this evening and tonight. The heaviest rainfall accumulations are forecast southeast of a Prescott-Flagstaff-Chinle line where 1.00 to 2.50 inches are likely and locally higher amounts are possible.
A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through Tuesday evening for portions of central and northeast Arizona. A second weather system will bring the redevelopment of showers and thunderstorms across all of northern Arizona Tuesday. Increased wind speeds aloft and instability will bring the threat of severe thunderstorms to eastern Arizona.
