Expect another day of gusty southwest through west winds and critical fire weather on Monday.

A Red Flag Warning and a Wind Advisory are in effect for portions of eastern Coconino County, as well as most of Navajo and Apaches Counties, for Monday afternoon and evening. Pockets of sub-freezing temperatures are likely tonight over the higher elevations..

Well above normal high temperatures ( +10 to +15 degrees)  are forecast for northern and central Arizona through Friday.  The hottest temperatures still look to be Thursday and Friday, and the Excessive Heat Warning remains in effect as originally issued.  It is for the lowest elevations of the Grand Canyon including Phantom Ranch, and  the lowest elevations southern and western Yavapai County including Black Canyon City and Bagdad.
