DAY ONE…THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

WIDESPREAD SNOW SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE ACROSS EASTERN ARIZONA OVERNIGHT…WITH SCATTERED SHOWERS FARTHER WEST TO THE FLAGSTAFF REGION. SNOW LEVELS WILL BE AROUND 5000-5500 FEET. WINTER WEATHER ADVISORIES CONTINUE FOR PORTIONS OF EASTERN ARIZONA

ICE AND SNOW CREATE DANGEROUS DRIVING CONDITIONS – REDUCE YOUR SPEED AND USE CAUTION WHEN DRIVING

1/12/15 – A colder low pressure trough than the ones affecting northern Arizona this past weekend will move across the area from Monday night through Tuesday. This trough will interact with moisture already in place to produce snowfall above 6000-6500 feet, with rain expected below that elevation. Rain and snow showers may linger on Wednesday as the trough departs to the east. From Thursday on through the upcoming weekend, expect dry conditions and warming daytime temperatures as a high pressure ridge builds back in over northern Arizona.
