More Snow Possible This Weekend

1/8/15 – This weekend westerly flow aloft will bring at least one weather disturbance across northern Arizona. Present indications are for steady precipitation to develop across western Arizona early Saturday morning and spread eastward through the day. Snow levels are expected to be around 6500 feet on the Kaibab Plateau, 7000 feet near Flagstaff and 7500 Feet in the White Mountains by sunset on Saturday. Rain and snow showers will continue Saturday night with the probability of accumulating snow above 6500 feet. Lighter shower activity is forecast for Sunday.

Verizon Service Disruption

1/6/2015 – Due to a cut fiber optic cable, Verizon Cellular service is currently not functioning. The outage area begins just south of Holbrook and continues south into the Show Low, Pinetop areas. Crews are on the way to repair the problem and have estimated that it will be approximately 4 hours.
