6/20/15 – The Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests (ASNFs) currently have no wildfires or prescribed burns to report. However, an influx of smoke is impacting the White Mountain area and is coming from other Arizona wildfires.
The 500 acre Buckelew prescribed burn conducted earlier this week by the Springerville Ranger District Fire Managers was successful and called contained mid-week. The status on Inciweb shows active, and will be updated.

Also check out the Northeastern Arizona Fire Information hotline by dialing 311 (on some cell providers) or 928-333-3412. This line is updated for Greenlee. Apache, and Navajo 9plus a small portion of Coconino) Counties. The fire information line is updated 24/7 by the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest Public Affairs staff as information is received. Fire information on the 311 website can be found at https://311info.net/ and is updated and maintained by Navajo and Apache Emergency Management Offices.
The Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest has not implemented fire restrictions forest-wide. However, we hope you w8ill recreate responsibly and bring the necessary tools such as 10-plus gallons of water and a shovel to put out your fire. Also, pack out what you pack in, “Leave No Trace”.
