Cedar Creek Fire update

6/17/2016 at 9:39 am- The Cedar Creek Fire has increased to 9,200 acres, fire crews were able to maintain initial lines around the fire during the night. Winds will not be as strong today, blowing at 10-15mph which will aide crews battling the fire. Temperatures are expected to increase throughout the weekend.  The pre-evacuation warning remains in effect until further notice.

A joint press conference with Incident Management Team and Governor Ducey will occur today at 11:45 am in front of Show Low High School. We will post any updates as we receive them.

**** Cedar Creek Update ****

6/16/16 9:00 – As of this evening fire crews continue to maintain fire lines 1/4 mile away from the trigger point. Pre-evacuation status remains in place. Crews will continue to work throughout the night on maintaining the lines and making progress on the fire itself. We will not be posting additional information until the briefing from the Incident Management Team in the morning unless we are notified of any major changes during the night.
