Official fire update ****6/19/16 at 11:16 am****

Fire is contained at 40%. Fire was most active on the South side of the fire during the night. Winds changed direction overnight pushing more smoke into the Highway 73 corridor as well as Whiteriver. Smoke may be more visible today and develop into columns that can be seen some distance from the fire. Weather is expected to cool after today with increased chance of storms and humidity next week.  We remain under pre-evacuation notice at this time.

****6/19/16 at 8:34 am*****Winds shifted during the night from SW to NNW, the highway 73 corridor received a lot of smoke during the night and will continue to see heavy smoke today. Official update to follow.

Official fire update ***6/18/16 at 6:15pm****

The fire is holding within fire lines and remains at 12,140 acres and 30% contained. Crews are working on fuel prep on the SE side of the fire. Increased smoke is due to portions of unburned fuel within fire lines. We remain under pre-evacuation notice at this time. Next update to come in the 8:00 hour tomorrow.
