 Southeast side of Show Low Lake in Show Low, AZ

Cause: Human Caused – Under investigation Personnel Assigned: 30
Vegetation: Ponderosa pine and juniper with a grass understory Growth Potential: Low

Summary: Fire personnel from the Forest Service and Timber Mesa Fire responded to a fire east of Show Low Lake at approximately 10:00 yesterday morning. Today fire crews will continue to mop up fire area until fire is extinguished. There will be pockets of heavy fuels inside the fire line that are still burning which will produce light smoke in the area. Smoke will be visible from Show Low Lake. Fire managers request the public stay clear of the area to allow fire crews to continue to work.

Resources Assigned: 2 Engines from Lakeside Ranger District, 1 Engine from Springerville Ranger District, Wolf Mountain Hand Crew and miscellaneous fire personnel.
