Location: Black Mesa Ranger District of the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests, ¾ of a mile south of Chevelon Canyon Lake in Chevelon Canyon, Coconino County, Arizona

Growth Potential: Low to Moderate
Summary: Due to steep terrain, fire personnel are monitoring the fire from the top of Chevelon Canyon. In areas that are accessible personnel are mopping up hotspots along the fire’s edge. Less than a dozen smokes were visible on the fire with no new spread or growth in the last couple of days. Resources will remain on scene throughout the week and weekend. Smoke may be visible from Chevelon Canyon Lake.
