Wednesday Weather Update

1/6/16 – Expect moderate to heavy snow for many areas above 6000 feet through late this morning where Winter Storm Warning and Winter Weather Advisories are in effect.

A second and colder system will move into western Arizona this evening and spread eastward overnight. A Winter Storm Watch remains in effect for much of the northland above 5000 feet.

For Thursday and Friday, a longer period of precipitation is forecast for northern Arizona with snow levels lowering to 4000 feet. Additional snow amounts range from 10 to 20 inches for areas above 6000 feet with 5 to 10 inches down to 5000 feet. Areas near 4000 feet may see up to an inch of snow.

Be prepared if traveling in the high country this week and check for forecast updates.
