1/5/16 – Look for light rain and snow through the early afternoon as the first in a series of storms exits Arizona. The second storm in the current series will rapidly approach delivering another round of rain and mountain snow starting later this afternoon, lasting through Wednesday morning. For areas above 6000 feet a Winter Weather Advisory has been issued. Accumulating snow, heavy at times, will affect the Wednesday morning commute.
National Weather Service is expecting a brief lull Wednesday afternoon into Wednesday night before a colder storm system brings additional snow from early Thursday through Friday night. Heavier snow accumulations are expected with this the third storm in the series along with wider reaching impacts as snow is possible down to 4000-4500 feet.
