Snow Impacting Northern Arizona Roads

Snow is causing problems across northern Arizona roadways, according to Arizona Department of Transportation.

Vehicle slide-offs are being reported throughout the high country and there are major slowdowns on Interstate 40 between Winslow and US 93, on Interstate 17 between Flagstaff and Sunset Point and on smaller highways throughout the region.

ADOT urges drivers to postpone travel while snow is falling, so plows can clear roads. If drivers cannot delay travel, they should make sure their car is ready for snowy roads and pack a winter emergency kit in their car. Items to include in the kit would be water and snacks, extra clothing (including socks), flares and/or whistle, and sand/kitty litter.
