Location: North of the Community of Carrizo and west of Jump Off Canyon in the old Rodeo-Chediski Burn

Cause: Lightning
Structures threatened: none
Size: estimated at 100 acres
Fuel Type: Buck Brush, Manzanita, dead and down fuel and Pine Stringers
Percent contained: 0%
Summary: The lightning-ignited Blue Springs Fire is estimated to be approximately 100 acres. Fire behavior has been mild due to high humidity and recent showers. The Blue Springs Fire is being managed to achieve natural resource benefits and to reduce hazardous fuels. Fire managers plan to manage the Blue Springs Fire within predetermine boundaries (9710 acres). Today, Fire Crews will prepare the northern boundary and will conduct burn out operations.
