8/14/14 4:55 pm – The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a small stream flood advisory for west central Navajo County in northeastern Arizona. At 4:30 radar indicated very heavy rain from a cluster of thunderstorms south and east of Winslow. Rainfall amounts will likely approach 2 to 3.5 inches in theses areas before they weaken over the coming hours. The advisory includes but is not limited to Chevelon Canyon and other areas along State Route 99 south of Winslow.

DO NOT drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the roadway! The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross safely. Move to higher ground.
