7/28/14 – Lightning has caused a couple more fires to start in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest. The first is the Alcatraz fire just south of Bear Canyon Lake that is controlled at 1 acre. The second is the Scotts Point Fire which is approximately 4 acres. It is located off of Forest Service Road 139 and 300 on the boundary between Lakeside and Black Mesa Ranger districts. Smoke may be visible in Claysprings area.
